From time-to-time you may experience an issue when playing Poker. Please have a look below on what may happen and how you can help to prevent these issues:
What happens if I close my browser window or get disconnected from the site during a Poker game?
If you close your browser window while registered for a tournament without exiting the lobby, then you will be dealt in when the tournament starts. After timing out on your first turn, you will be sitting out and your hands will automatically be folded until you return. You will still pay the blinds and antes from the chips.
Rest assured, further money will never be taken from your playing account balance, only the initial buy-in that you chose to spend at the start.
You can return to the Poker Lobby and re-join the game if you still have chips on the table. If you do not return before you run out of chips, you will be eliminated from the tournament.
What can I do to prevent connection issues in Poker?
Whilst it isn't possible to always prevent disconnections from Poker, there are a number of ways you can help.
- Ensure you're playing the game on a secure WiFi connection rather than using a mobile network.
- Regularly clear out Temporary Internet Files and Cookies to help with any caching errors. If you're unsure how to do this, you can see how to here.
- Limit the numbers of tabs you have open in your browser, as these can interfere with the quality of your connection.
