Football Betting Guide
New to betting on football? We've got everything you need to know below including explanations of some of the popular markets for betting as well as important rules it's worth knowing before placing your bet.
Popular Markets
Full Time - this is betting on the winner of the match. This market applies to 90 minutes only and does not include extra time. You'll have three options to bet on which is home team, draw/tie and away team.
Match Goals - where you can bet on how many goals are scored in a match by one side or the other.
Total Goals - where you can bet on how many goals are scores overall in a match, how many goals are scored during the first half of the match, or how many goals are scored by one team or the other.
Both Teams to Score - where you can bet on the chances of both teams scoring at least one goal.
Double Chance - where you can bet on two outcomes in a single match, such as the home team winning or drawing.
Half-time - half-time bets are those made during the half-time period, based on how the second half may go.
Draw No Bet - where you win your bet if your team wins, you get your stake back if it's a draw, and you lose if your team loses.
Goalscorer Markets
First/Next Scorer - where you can bet on who will score the first goal or the next goal. If the player sits out of the match entirely, or joins the game after the betted goal has occurred, your bet would be voided. Own goals are not considered.
Last scorer - where you can bet on who will score the last goal, either in the first half or of the match as a whole. Own goals are not considered. If the player does not take part in the match at all, the bet is voided. If there are no goals during a game, the bet remains valid and would be a losing bet.
Card / Bookings Markets
Cards betting is where you are wagering on how many yellow or red cards shown by the referee during the match. The most popular type of betting here is Over/Under, where you predict if there will be more or fewer than a number of cards in a game.
Only cards shown to players on the pitch would be considered valid. Any disciplinary action taken after the end of play is not considered. Players must be in play from the start of the match for the bet to be considered valid.
Handicap Markets
This type of betting is based on teams being handicapped according to their form,so that a stronger team must win by more goals for a bet on them to win.
For example: Rather than backing Manchester City to win at 1.40, instead you can give them a "-1 Handicap" which means they would then need to win by 2 goals or more, and you would be offered a better price.
Scorecast / Wincast Markets
A Scorecast bet is actually two bets in one, where you are trying to predict the first goalscorer in a game, as well as the final score. If the player does not participate in the match, the bet is voided. Own goals are not considered.
A Wincast bet is where you are betting on a player to score within 90 minutes, and the nominated team to win the game. If the player then does not take part, the bet is voided.
Opta Markets
All markets such as shots, tackles, fouls, shots on target and player stat related markets are settled using Opta data. We have no control over whether a shot was deemed to be on target or not, or whether a cross was deemed as a shot, as Opta decide this and we use their data for settlement. Any settlement can not be changed by us after the decision has been made.
Important Rules to Know

Players Who Don't Start - If you bet on a player to score or be booked, your bet will be voided if the selected player does not start.
Corners Awarded / Taken - Only corners taken will be used for settlement. If a corner is awarded but not taken then this is not included in the total.
Cards Awarded to non-players / subs - Only cards given to players who are actively involved in the match will count towards settlement. Cards given to substitutes or managers are not counted for settlement.
